Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous has once again demonstrated its commitment to education and social upliftment by awarding scholarships to eight underprivileged but highly meritorious students of Aloke Shikkhaloy. The total scholarship amount of BDT 56,000 was handed over in an informal ceremony on 7th May 2025 which was attended by club leaders.
Aloke Shikkhaloy is a school dedicated to educating children from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a focus on orphans and those from single-mother households. The students selected for this scholarship have shown outstanding academic promise despite facing significant financial hardships.
President of the club Rtn. Al Amin Redwanur Rahman PHF, Past President Rtn. M Abdullah PHF, and Service Project Director Rtn. Mushfiqur Rahman PHF were present during the cheque handover ceremony, underscoring the club’s ongoing support for education-based initiatives.
The scholarship is part of Dhaka Luminous’s annual effort to ensure that deserving students are not forced to abandon their education due to financial constraints. The initiative aligns with one of the club’s core priorities: creating opportunities for basic education for those who need it most.
“This is not just financial support—it’s an investment in the future of our society,” said President Al Amin.
