The Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous continues its mission to bring light into the lives of those in need through its signature initiative, Project Vision. In a recent impactful effort, the club arranged cataract surgeries for eight residents—four men and four women—of the Old Rehabilitation Center in Gazipur, who were in urgent need of eye care.
These life-changing surgeries were carried out in collaboration with Prime Bank Eye Hospital, at a total cost of BDT 25,500. The patients were identified during a free eye camp organized by the club at the same center, where over 100 individuals received essential eye care services including screenings, consultations, and treatment recommendations.
Since its inception in 2015, Project Vision has been a flagship program of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous, held annually with a steadfast commitment to preventing blindness and supporting the visually impaired in underserved communities. The initiative not only offers clinical support but also restores hope and dignity by giving the gift of sight.
This year’s successful surgeries are a testament to the club’s ongoing dedication to service above self. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Prime Bank Eye Hospital for their collaboration and look forward to continuing this journey of vision and compassion in the years ahead.
