The Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous, in collaboration with the Rotary Community Corps of Roumari, has successfully distributed winter clothes to approximately 2,000 vulnerable children and students from underprivileged families. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to community welfare and humanitarian support.

Sweaters were distributed to various government primary schools in the upazila. Additionally, from February 3 to 5, another 1,000 sweaters (katigaine) will be distributed to helpless women from various villages in the upazila, as confirmed by Rafiqul Alam Shaheen, General Secretary of the Rotary Community Corps of Roumari.

This distribution program was made possible with the dedicated efforts of Monowara Begum, Fahid Hasan Sumon, Abul Kalam, Hazrat Ali, MG Shahid, Ershadul Islam, Shamsuddoha, Marufa Akhter, and many other committed volunteers. Speaking to Daily Amer Pratidin (news link), RCC General Secretary Md. Rafiqul Alam Shaheen expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous and various well-wishers in Dhaka. These include assistance for van purchases, micro-loans, programs for women’s empowerment, and computer training for educated youth. All these initiatives are undertaken with a spirit of selflessness and dedication to community welfare.

As part of our mission, the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous remains dedicated to making a tangible impact on society by supporting meaningful humanitarian initiatives and fostering sustainable development in communities like Roumari.
