When leaking roofs began disrupting daily classes at SGD Junior High School in Mymensingh, the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous responded with timely support. The club donated 10 bundles of corrugated tin sheets, valued at BDT 66,000, to help the school urgently replace its worn-out classroom roofing and restore a safe, functional learning environment.
This much-needed donation ensured that students and teachers can now continue their academic activities without the threat of weather-related interruptions. The tin was directly procured and delivered by the club to meet the school’s immediate needs.
The initiative was coordinated by Service Project Director Rtn. Mushfiqur Rahman, who oversaw the entire process—from need assessment to delivery—ensuring efficiency and impact.
This is not the first time SGD Junior High School has benefited from the club’s support. In a previous contribution, Dhaka Luminous donated approximately 200 pieces of school furniture worth BDT 450,000, further enhancing the school’s facilities and learning environment.
With this latest initiative, the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the educational infrastructure in underserved communities, helping ensure that every child has access to a safe and supportive place to learn.
