Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous held its 184th General Meeting on 21st August, 2022 at Hotel Bengal Canary Part at Gulshan-1, Dhaka. Meeting was held during 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM. Rtn. Mohammad Abdullah, the club president conducted the meeting. He welcomed all the members and guest present at the meeting.
Meeting started with recitation from Holy Quran by PP Rtn. Abdur Rahim PHF. Club Secretary Rtn. Al Amin Redwanur Rahman PHF recited the rotary invocation. Thereafter, President also greeted members and their spouses for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. President informed the members present about expiry of Father of Rtn. Tazin Alam, Sickness of Rtn. Golam Sarwar Farouqui and mother of club member Rtn. James Jacob Ribero. All the member present wished for their quick recovery. A condolence motion was adopted for expiry of Father of Rtn. Tazin Alam.
During the meeting President informed the members present that he received an email from District Governor about districts announcement of service months. On this topic, IPP Rtn. Mohammed Shohidul Hoque present two project proposal from education and development category. CP Rtn. Kazi Saiful Hoque PHF also presented a project proposal from Disease Control and health category.
On the request of Present, PP Rtn. Hadi Mizan Al Hossain presented update about Tree Plantation project and Rotary Community Club (RCC) formed under RCD Luminous. PP Hadi Mizan informed the club that tree plantation project has not been completed due to Covid period and restriction of travel. However, as situation have improved, Tree Plantation project should be resumed shortly. Project will be implemented at Alfadanga upazila of Faridpur District with the help of RCC. In this regard, he proposed club members to have a day visit to the Alfadanga. Members present has accepted the proposal and requested him to arrange for day visit to Alfadanga.
Meet was adjourned after sharing club statistics and secretarial announcement for 185th General Meeting on 4th September 2022 at the same time in the same venue.
