Due to nationwide lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19, hundreds of thousands of low-income workers/day laborers in Bangladesh are badly-affected as they instantaneously have become jobless. For those who survive on their daily earnings and do not have savings. In order to mitigate some of their sufferings Rotary Club of Dhaka initiated this emergency food assitance program and provided one food pack comprising of staple and other essential food items for a family of 4 to survive atleast for a week. This has encouraged many other organizations to come forward and extended their support along with similar initiatives by the GoB. Multi-Club, Multi Organization Community Service Project participated 8 Rotary clubs of RID 3281 and 2 non-Rotary organization. RID 3281 Clubs:1. Rotary Club of Dhaka, 2. Banani Dhaka, 3. Baridhara Sunrise,4. Dhaka Luminous, 5. Dhaka North, 6. Tongi.
