‘Project Vision’ is the is one of the ongoing signature projects of Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous under which it arranges Eye Care Camp at various places in collaboration with Prime Bank Eye Hospital. In continuation of the ongoing effort, Dhaka Luminous organized its 1st eye care camp on 14th February 2025 at an Old Rehabilitation Center at Hotapara, Gazipur with the technical assistance of Prime Bank Eye Hospital. The eye care project was executed on valentine’s day in order to spread the love to those who need it.
In this eye care camp, a total of 103 senior citizens were screened for Eye sight problems. Among them 20 were identified who need Cataract operations and 83 persons were given medicines and spectacles. Of the 20 patients, 6 already underwent cataract surgery and rest are in process of cataract surgery at Prime Bank Eye Hospital, Dhanmandi phase by phase. Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous sponsored the eye care project, medicine, spectacles and the cost of the surgery. Sainsbury’s Dhaka office also extended its hand by providing financial support to the project.
Club President Rotarian Al Amin Redwanur Rahman PHF, Past President Rtn Mohammad Abdullah, President Elect Rtn. Bhaskar Ranjan Saha, Rtn, Chhonda Rani and Club Secretary Rtn. Kazi Kawser Sweet were present at the eye camp.
